Russia’s PM congratulates Novruz Mamedov on appointment as Azerbaijan’s PM
The former government resigned on April 18 after Ilham Aliyev, who had been reelected for the fourth term on April 11, was sworn in as Azerbaijan’s president
MOSCOW, April 21. /TASS/. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has sent a message of greeting to Novruz Mamedov who was appointed Azerbaijan’s head of government, the Russian governmental press service said on Saturday.
"Russia and Azerbaijan have developed the relationship of strategic partnership based on principles of equality, respect for interests of each other and good-neighborhood. I am convinced that further strengthening of bilateral trade and economic cooperation, implementation of major joint projects in transport, oil and gas, and agricultural sectors, in the field of high technology, education and culture meet in full long-term interests of our countries," says Medvedev’s message quoted by the press service.
