MOSCOW, May 22. /TASS/. Fire has been extinguished in Moskva hotel near the Kremlin, the Russian Emergencies Ministry’s press service said on Friday.
"Thanks to prompt reaction and quick actions of firefighters, the fire was extinguished at 02:11 am," the press service said.
At 01:03am Moscow time, firefighters received a call saying the fire broke out in the ventilation boxes of the Moskva hotel. The emergencies ministry’s press service said that firefighters arrived at the scene at 01:09am. According to preliminary reports, "a ventilation box that leads to the roof of the building caught fire." Firefighters are working at the scene, investigation is underway. Evacuation from the building has not been announced. No one was injured in the accident, according to preliminary reports.
