Two aftershocks strike Nepal following magnitude 7.1 earthquake

WASHINGTON, May 12. /TASS/. Two aftershocks, with magnitude measuring up to 5.6 and 6.3, have struck Nepal on Tuesday after a powerful earthquake hit the South Asian nation earlier on May 12, US Geological Survey said.
The epicenter of the first aftershock was located 80 kilometers to the east of capital Kathmandu, of the second - 83 kilometers to the east of the city.
Indian Meteorological Department registered a magnitude 7.1 earthquake at 12.35 local time earlier on Tuesday. The epicenter of the earthquake lay 80 kilometers to the east of Nepal’s capital Kathmandu at the depth of 18 kilometers. US Geological Survey measured the earthquake at 7.4.
There have been no reports on victims and damages yet.
On April 25, a devastating 7.9 magnitude earthquake rocked the South Asian nation. Around 90 aftershocks were registered after it, with the strongest one measuring up to 6.9.
