Russian America projects get Silver Archer awards in US
The prize in the most prestigious category "Persona" was given to Sergey Millian, who helped to attract investment to Russia’s economy estimated at $500 million
WASHINGTON, January 31. /TASS/. The best Russian America projects in the sphere of public relations received the Russian national Silver Archer-USA awards at the fourth ceremony in Washington on Friday.
In the "Researches, Inventions, Innovations" category, the Archer went to the Russian-American anti-cancer center (Barnaul, Altai region) for conducting joint fundamental scientific researches in the sphere of biology and medicine together with the Center for Innovations in Medicine, Biodesign Institute at Arizona State University.
The jointly developed technology consists of studying immune activity and preventing cancer and dangerous infection diseases.
The Archer in the "Russian School" category went to Orange County of Anna Budnyatskaya from California. The school, attended by 250 students aged between 2 and 16 years, has 24 subjects in the Russian language.
Over the last 12 years, more than 1,000 children studied in this school and many of them are university graduates.
The Russian Center in New York won the "Business and Technologies" nomination for holding a series of business forums in 2013 and 2014.
The winners in the "Historical Heritage and Culture" category are Irina Belozertseva and Lidya Drobysh, from the Moscow-based Aegis Media agency. The New Russian Radio, California, which was launched in the Russian language in 1996, won the award in the "Communications" category.
The prize in the most prestigious category "Persona" was given to Sergey Millian, the president of Russian-American Chamber of Commerce, who has organized the cooperation between Russian and US businessmen and helped to attract investment to Russia’s economy estimated at $500 million.
Russian Trade Representative to the US Alexander Stadnik told the ceremony that the "history of cooperation between Russia and the US has seen ups and downs."
"The relations between the two countries have once again faced a challenge and have been taken to a level which is extremely dangerous for the global economy and international cooperation. I’m sure that the award has a power not only to expand the contacts between Russia and the US, but the Silver Archer’s arrow will also be able to show the vector of rapprochement between the countries," he said.
The Silver Archer-USA Awards is aimed at attracting the initiators of projects that expand interstate, cultural, economic and public relations and are designed to strengthen Russia’s integration in the global communications space.
