British pop group One Direction win big at MTV EMA 2014

LONDON, November 10. / TASS/. The British pop group One Direction was a big winner at the MTV EMA 2014.
The ceremony was held in Glasgow on Sunday night.
One Direction won awards for Best Pop Act, Best Live Act, Best UK & Ireland Act and Biggest Fans.
Who else won awards
Justin Bieber also won Best Male Act and Best Canadian Act.
Australian group 5 Seconds of Summer were awarded Best Australian, Best New and Best Push Acts.
Ariana Grande won Best Female Act and Best Song Act for “Problem” featuring Australian rapper Iggy Azalea.
Enrique Iglesias won Best Spanish Male Act, as well as Best World Stage Performance. Katy Perry, who won for Best Look and Best Video Act for "Dark Horse" did not attend the ceremony.
The Chinese singer Bibi Zhou won two awards: Best Worldwide Act (Southeast Asia/China & Hong Kong/Taiwan) and Best International Singer.
Nicki Minaj, the host of the ceremony, appeared on stage with her new hit song "Anaconda" and won Best Hip Hop Act.
Thirty Seconds to Mars were awarded Best Alternative Group Act, Linkin Park – Best Rock Group Act, and Scottish DJ Calvin Harris became Best Electronic Act.
Rocker Ozzy Osbourne was honored with Global Icon Award.
The MTV European Music Awards were launched in 1994. The ceremony changes its host city every year. In 2013 it was held in Amsterdam.
