Moscow Planetarium marks 85 years. It was opened in 1929 and became the thirteenth planetarium in the world. In 1934-1938 Moscow Planetarium hosted the Stratospheric committee whose employees studied the upper atmosphere and reaction propulsion. Moscow Planetarium is supervised by Lomonosov Moscow State University.
