BEIJING, September 1. /ITAR-TASS/. Twelve people are reported missing after a landslide occurred in Yunyang County, Chongqing (Southwestern China), Xinhua news agency reported on Monday.
The landslide occurred September 1 at about 09:00 local time (01:00 UTC) as a result of storm rainfalls. According to reports, the landslide occurred near a residential hotel for the employees of a mining enterprise. The workers, who were urgently leaving the facility, came under the landslide.
Search and rescue activities are currently on the way at the site of the disaster.
