Three people die and over 3 thousand hospitalized in Japan due to extremely hot weather

TOKYO, July 23. /Igor Belyayev for ITAR-TASS/. At least three people have died and over three thousand were hospitalized over the past week in Japan due to an extremely hot weather. This was reported by the Main firefighting directorate of Japan, which also acts as a ministry of emergencies and first aid.

The message says that in the week July 14-20, 3,179 people were taken to hospitals with heat strikes and excessive heat.

In most of the country’s regions, the temperature is over 30°C (86°F).

Japan’s authorities urge the population to abstain from going outside bareheaded.
