Russia's cooperation with the USA in the area of space programs was quite smooth at the level of businesses and individual companies, company's CEO Igor Komarov says

BERLIN, May 20. /ITAR-TASS/. Russia’s United Rocket and Space Corporation (URSC) is tasked to reduce impacts of external factors, such as sanctions, on the implementation of space projects, URSC CEO Igor Komarov told a news conference at the ILA Air Show in Berlin on Tuesday.

He said space projects involved many countries and dozens of partners and sanctions against any of the parties created additional problems for other participants.

“Sanctions come and go, projects stay,” Komarov said. “So, participants in these projects should look at how to reduce risks. This is the task for the United Rocket and Space Corporation.”

Touching on cooperation with the United States in the area of space programs, Komarov noted that such cooperation was quite smooth at the level of businesses and individual companies. This fact, in his words, was illustrated by the lifting of a ban on exports of Russian rocket engines for American carrier rockets.
