Medvedev hopes Yalta film center will help settle problem of cultural isolation of Crimea

"We will have a separate discussion of measures we should take for the development of cinematography in Crimea," Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev adds

MOSCOW, March 26. /ITAR-TASS/. Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has called to use the possibilities of the Yalta film studio to settle the problem of cultural isolation of the population of Crimea from the achievements of the Russian cinematography.

Medvedev spoke at a meeting of the governmental Council for development of the Russian cinematography. The prime minister urged the council members to think over what measures could be taken to cope with the problem and suggested using the facilities of the Yalta film studio for the purpose.

"Obviously, it is important to overcome the cultural isolation of the population of Crimea in recent years and ensure that they could enjoy the best achievements of the Russian cinematography," Medvedev said.

"I hope we will have a separate discussion of measures we should take for the development of cinematography in new subjects of our country, on the territory of the Crimean Federal District." he added.
