LONDON, February 11. /ITAR-TASS/. Four players in Iran women’s national football team turned out to be men. They were temporarily disqualified, the British media reported.

Athletes failed to pass gender-testing. Football players are now in line for a sex-change operation. Despite strict rules in the Islamic Republic of Iran, players will be allowed to continue their career after mandatory sex-change operation.

This case prompted the introduction of new rules, according to which all women are required to undergo gender-testing before signing a contract with a football club.
