VIENNA, February 09,  /ITAR-TASS/. Lithuanian biathlete Karolis Zlatkauskas, who has been suspended from competitions on the suspicions of having used dopes, has refused to pass test B and has thus recognized his offenses, the International Biathlon Union said at its official website.

Earlier, doping test A produced a positive result for recombinant erythropoietin. Zlatauskas was given the test at the end of December.

In line with the IBU regulations, by refusing to open test B, he automatically agreed with the results of the first test and thus recognized his guilt.

The report said the Lithuanian athlete sent a letter to the IBU where he said he had made an error and he aware of how deeply his actions had frustrated the IBU, the Biathlon Federation of Lithuania and the country’s biathletic Team.

Dates of hearings of Zlatauskas’s case will be specified later.
