MOSCOW, December 16. /ITAR-TASS/. Wireless Internet access will appear at some public transport stops and stations in Moscow soon, Yevgeny Mikhailov, the head of Moscow’s ground public transport network Mosgortrans, said on Monday.
“We will equip some transport stops with Wi-Fi to make it possible for passengers to go on-line,” he said in an interview to the Moskva-24 television news channel. “Modern city life is impossible without social networks.”
Mikhailov said that Wi-Fi systems were being tested on two thousand vehicles at the moment.
“Next year we will also equip all streetcars and all trunk routes with Wi-Fi,” he added.
