China successfully launches remote sensing satellite

The satellite will be used to carry out scientific experiments

BEIJING, November 20. /ITAR-TASS /. China successfully launched a satellite for Earth’s remote sensing from Taiyuan launching area in Shanxi on Wednesday. According to Xinhua News Agency, the unit was put into orbit by means of Changzheng-4 (“Long March-4”) carrier.

The satellite will be used to carry out scientific experiments, including the study of the planet's surface, and the prediction of natural disasters.
