MOSCOW, May 21. /TASS/. Bomb disposal squads of the Russian armed forces and the emergencies ministry found and defused more than 1,500 explosive objects in the people’s republics of Donetsk and Lugansk (DPR and LPR) in the past day, Russia’s National Defense Management Center chief Mikhail Mizintsev said on Saturday.
"Overall, 1,620.09 hectares of land have been surveyed to date (including 76.17 hectares in the past 24 hours), as well as one bridge and 9.64 km of motorways," said Mizintsev, who also heads the Russian Joint Coordination Headquarters for Humanitarian Response in Ukraine.
"As many as 9,266 explosive objects have been located and destroyed, including 1,659 during the past day," he said.
