LONDON, October 22. (Itar-Tass). — Head of National Coalition for Syrian Revolutionary and Opposition Forces Ahmad Al-Jarba stated that he would not take part in the international peace conference on Syria dubbed Geneva 2, if the stepdown of President Bashar Assad would not be its main goal, Reuters news agency reported on Tuesday.

This statement was made in London, where on Tuesday is taking place the meeting of the Group of Friends of the Syrian People – 11 western and Arab states backing Syrian opposition.
