MOSCOW, September 18 (Itar-Tass) - Moscow urges its Western partners not to speculate on the Syrian issue and not to impede work within the framework of Russian-US agreements, Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov told Tass by telephone from Damascus, where he is for consultations.

“It is important to prevent the recurrence of some political interests, particularly in New York,” he said. There are signs of that, he added.

According to Ryabkov, his consultations in Damascus proceed “constructively”. On Wednesday, he is scheduled for talks at the Syrian Foreign Ministry and will possibly meet with officials from some other agencies.
