The draft statement may be adopted by the State Duma on Wednesday, September 11, chairman of the international committee Aleksei Pushkov said
MOSCOW, September 10 (Itar-Tass) - A draft statement on the situation in Syria has been submitted to the Russian State Duma lower parliament house. The document was posted on its electronic database on Tuesday.
Earlier, State Duma speaker Sergei Naryshkin said he had instructed the Duma international committee to “draft a statement on this [Syrian] problem with due account of the positive moves of the recent hours and primarily Russia’s principled position on placing Syria’s chemical weapons under international control.”
The draft statement may be adopted by the State Duma on Wednesday, September 11, chairman of the international committee Aleksei Pushkov said.
