BERLIN, August 29 (Itar-Tass) - German Federal Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday evening held a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister David Cameron.

The British Cabinet head and the German chancellor agreed that “an international response” to the events in Syria is needed, the German government stated in a release.
