TAL AVIV, November 21 (Itar-Tass) — A powerful explosion ripped through the downtown Shaul Hamelech Avenue in Tel Aviv Wednesday afternoon.

Early information said a bomb had gone off in a bus. Rescue services indicated no less than ten people had been killed and a big number of others had received injuries.

The police described the explosion as a terrorist act.
