Yandex reports Kaluga data center damage after drone attack

MOSCOW, October 9. /TASS/. Part of the infrastructure at Yandex’s data center in Kaluga has been damaged in a drone attack, leaving several modules completely disabled, the company announced Wednesday.

"A drone attack damaged part of the infrastructure at Yandex’s data center in Kaluga, completely knocking out several modules," the company said in a statement. "As a result, some Yandex services may experience temporary disruptions. The full extent of the damage is currently being assessed."

Emergency services and company specialists are on-site. Yandex noted that no casualties had been reported, emphasizing that employee safety remains its top priority.

Previously, a drone strike triggered a fire that damaged part of the infrastructure at Yandex’s data center in Sasovo, located in the Ryazan region. The company stated it cannot yet confirm whether the damaged equipment there can be restored, as the assessment of that incident is still ongoing.
