ANKARA, October 5. /TASS/. A rigorous physical sweep of an AJet aircraft performing a flight from Ankara to Sanliurfa began after a handwritten note warning of explosive was found onboard.
According to CNN Turk, following the safe evacuation of passengers and crew members, bomb disposal specialists began inspecting the aircraft cabin, cargo hold, and luggage. Sanliurfa Airport has been temporarily closed for departures and arrivals.
According to Sanliurfa Province Governor, Hasan Sildak, the bomb threat note was found in the toilets onboard AJet flight 4180 that was traveling from Ankara to Sanliurfa with 136 passengers and seven crew members. It landed at Sanliurfa Airport at 8:05 p.m.
