MOSCOW, October 3. /TASS/. A prisoner attacked officers of the Federal Penitentiary Service (FSIN) inside a prison transport car in Kabardino-Balkaria, Russia’s North Caucasus, the FSIN press service reported.
One convoy officer was killed and three others were wounded in the incident. The attacker has been killed by other guards.
FSIN will provide assistance to the family of the deceased officer and the three injured guards.

About the incident
The Vladikavkaz-Adler train was transporting inmates under the escort of FSIN officers, the Investigative Committee said.
During transit near Murtazovo station, a convict launched an attack on a guard while being escorted to the restroom and seized his service firearm, according to the FSIN.
The prisoner then fired multiple shots at the escort staff.
The attacker had been previously convicted of serious crimes under the Russian Criminal Code, law enforcement sources told TASS.
The prison service emphasized that reports of a riot on the train are false.
Law enforcement officers, investigators, and forensic experts are working at the scene to establish the full circumstances of the incident.
The situation at the scene is fully under control.
Aftermath

There were no civilian casualties.
One of the injured officers is in serious condition, while the other two are in moderate condition, a law enforcement source told TASS.
