Railway tracks in the Bryansk Region were damaged overnight following an attack by the Ukrainian armed forces on the Trosna – Rzhanitsa section of a railroad while the Smolensk – Bryansk train was passing through, with no injuries, Governor Yegor Kovalchuk said on his Max page.

Circumstances behind the emergency

- Railway tracks were damaged as a train traveling from Smolensk to Bryansk was passing along the Trosna-Rzhanitsa railroad, Kovalchuk said.

- There were no injuries.

- Railway traffic on that sector of the railroad was suspended.

- A Russian Railways repair team has started relief work after examining the scene.

Trains affected

- A suburban train service is available between Bryansk and Rzhanitsa, Moscow Railway said on its Max channel.

- Replacement bus services have been provided between Rzhanitsa and Zhukovka in the Bryansk Region.

- Long-distance trains will continue to run along alternative routes that bypass the damaged segment, Moscow Railway specified.
