NEW YORK, August 26. /TASS/. Kilauea volcano has erupted in the US state of Hawaii, the US Geological Survey said.

According to the agency, four million cubic meters of lava erupted from the volcano’s vent, while lava fountains reached a height of 150 meters. The eruption currently poses no threat to residents of the islands.

Kilauea is one of the largest and most active volcanoes in the Hawaiian Islands.
