Magnitude 6.0 earthquake strikes off Japan’s Hokkaido

TOKYO, August 23. /TASS/. A magnitude 6.0 earthquake struck off Japan’s northernmost Island of Hokkaido the rocked the Pakistani-controlled part of Kashmir, the Japan Meteorological Agency said.

No casualties of damage were reported. No tsunami warning was issued.

The epicenter was located near the city of Urakawa on the Hokkaido’s southern coast, with its focus lying at a depth of 40 kilometers beneath the sea bottom.
