BUENOS AIRES, August 11. /TASS/. At least 239 people remain trapped under the rubble in the Colombian city of Cali following a powerful earthquake, the city’s mayor Alejandro Eder said.

"According to preliminary information, a total of 239 people are listed as trapped under the rubble, 949 have been injured and 95 have been killed. Besides, 45 buildings have collapsed fully or partially, and 93 buildings have received structural damage of varying degrees," he wrote on the X social network.

So far, 86 people have already been rescued, Eder added.

A 7.4-magnitude earthquake struck near the city of San Jose del Palmar in the Choco department on August 10. At least 224 people have been killed.
