MOSCOW, August 10. /TASS/. Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 456 Ukrainian UAVs over Russian regions during the night, the Defense Ministry said.

Industrial and civilian facilities in Nizhnekamsk came under a massive drone attack, causing fatalities. According to the latest information, 12 people were killed and 39 injured.

Attack scale

- Air defense systems intercepted and destroyed 456 Ukrainian fixed-wing UAVs over Russian regions overnight, the Russian Defense Ministry said.

- The drones were downed over the Bryansk, Kursk, Kaluga, Tula, Belgorod, Oryol, Voronezh, Rostov, Penza, Ulyanovsk, Saratov, Orenburg, Samara, Moscow, Krasnodar, and Tatarstan Regions, as well as over Crimea, the ministry said.

- More than 70 UAVs were destroyed overnight over Kamensk-Shakhtinsky and the Chertkovsky, Millerovsky, Kamensky, Sholokhovsky, Verkhnedonskoy, Belokalitvinsky and Tarasovsky districts of the Rostov Region, Governor Yury Slyusar said on Telegram.

- Air defenses destroyed nine Ukrainian UAVs over the Tula Region, Governor Dmitry Milyaev said on Max.

- Air defenses destroyed 16 Ukrainian UAVs over the Kaluga Region, Governor Vladislav Shapsha said on Max.

- Air defenses downed 11 Ukrainian UAVs over the Voronezh Region, Governor Alexander Gusev said on Max.

Consequences in Tatarstan

- Industrial and civilian facilities in Nizhnekamsk came under a massive drone attack, causing fatalities, the press service of Tatarstan’s head told reporters.

- Later, it emerged that 12 people had been killed and 39 injured.

- Twenty-eight injured people, including one child, have been taken to hospitals in Nizhnekamsk, the Russian Health Ministry’s press service told TASS.

- The region declared mourning.

- Additional medical teams have been sent to Nizhnekamsk from Naberezhnye Chelny.

- Relevant services have also been instructed to promptly deal with the aftermath of the attacks.

- The Tatarstan Prosecutor’s Office is monitoring compliance with residents’ rights in Nizhnekamsk following the drone attack.

- Coordination with all authorized agencies has been ensured.

- The Nizhnekamsk City Prosecutor’s Office has arranged to receive citizens.

- An operational center to provide medical assistance has been set up at Nizhnekamsk Central District Multidisciplinary Hospital, Tatarstan Health Minister Almir Abashev said.

Other regions

- In the Voronezh Region, debris from a UAV ignited an outbuilding in one district, shattered windows in a private house and damaged heating pipes and a fence, Governor Alexander Gusev said on Max.

- Fences and windows were damaged at two other private properties, while a facade was hit by shrapnel.

- No one was injured.

- In one municipality, windows were damaged in nine private houses, two of which will require repairs to gas pipelines, Gusev said.

- Three cars and a tractor were also damaged.

- In another district, a UAV impact blew out windows on two floors of a residential building.

- Inspections of the sites and assessments of the damage are continuing.
