SYDNEY, June 30. /TASS/. A magnitude 5.2 earthquake occurs in the area of the Kingdom of Tonga in the southern Pacific Ocean, the Australian government geological agency reports.

Seismologists report that the epicenter of the tremors is located 200 kilometers south of the capital of the island nation, Nuku'alofa, where more than 24,000 people live, and the focus lies at a depth of 10 kilometers.

No information on casualties or damage has been reported, and no tsunami warning has been issued.
