Twenty-four people are reported as missing, the TV Channel said. No fuel spill occurred as a result of the incident, the coast guard said.

The passenger ferry making the voyage from Zamboanga City to Jolo sank near the Island of Baluk in the Basilan Province. More than 350 people were on board. Rescuers continue searching for survivors.
