MEXICO, January 2. /TASS/. A magnitude 6.5 earthquake has been recorded in Mexico’s southwestern state of Guerrero, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center reported.

According to Mexico’s National Seismological Service, the quake’s epicenter was 15 kilometers southwest of the city of Guerrero at a depth of ten kilometers.

Twelve people suffered injuries in the quake in Mexico City, Mayor Clara Brugada said.
