Three Qatari diplomats died in traffic accident in Egypt — TV

DUBAI, October 12. /TASS/. At least three diplomats that were members of the Qatar’s delegation at negotiations on the conflict settlement in the Gaza Strip died in a traffic accident near the Egyptian city of Sharm El-Sheikh, Al Arabiya television reported.

The TV channel reported at first that a car of the Qatari delegation suffered a traffic accident in the vicinity of the conference center in Sharm El-Sheikh but updated later that the car crash was 50 km away from the city on the way from Cairo.

Three diplomats died and two more were injured and are in the intensive care unit.

In its turn the Masrawy information portal reported that the car was in the motorcade accompanying Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, who participated as the intermediary in the indirect talks between Israel and Hamas. Authorities of Egypt and Qatar have not yet commented on this accident.
