BUENOS AIRES, June 8. /TASS/. Colombian senator Miguel Uribe, who sustained a gunshot wound in an assassination attempt, is in critical condition, Blu Radio reported.

Uribe suffered a gunshot wound on Saturday during a public event at one of Bogota’s parks. The shooter was detained. According to the radio station, another individual was also apprehended.

Last October, Uribe stated that he was planning to run in the presidential election as a nominee of the right-wing Democratic Center party.
