Poor weather knocks out power for thousands across Moscow Region

According to him, the severe weather caused more than 1,500 trees to fall across 14 districts of the Moscow Region

MOSCOW, May 3. /TASS/. Over 18,000 residents remain without power in the Moscow Region due to poor weather conditions, emergency response services told TASS.

"As of 7 a.m. Moscow time, 348 settlements and 10,089 buildings housing 18,160 people, including more than 4,500 children, remain blacked out in the region," the agency source said.

According to him, the severe weather caused more than 1,500 trees to fall across 14 districts of the Moscow Region. Additionally, 199 cars sustained damage.

Emergency repair efforts are currently underway in 11 districts of the Moscow Region, including Klin, Dmitrovsky, Pushkinsky, Sergiev Posadsky, Taldomsky, Mytishchi, Khimki, Solnechnogorsk, Istra, Krasnogorsk, and Ruzsky.
