NEW YORK, December 26. /TASS/. At least six people were wounded in downtown New York when a taxi cab rammed a crowd of pedestrians, the Fox News television channel reported.

The incident occurred at around 9:00 p.m. GMT on Wednesday, near Herald Square in Manhattan.

Six people were hospitalized with injuries of varying degrees.

Causes of the incident are yet unknown.
