TOKYO, December 24. /TASS/. A Russian citizen who lived on the Indonesian island of Bali for a year may face the death penalty for drug distribution, Jakarta Globe newspaper reported.
According to the newspaper, the Russian was detained with material evidence and interrogated on the spot. Seven types of banned substances were found in his rented apartment. Indonesian authorities suspect that the detainee was involved in drug distribution and received payment in cryptocurrency.
He could face the death penalty or up to 20 years in prison, the newspaper noted.
