PARIS, November 16. /TASS/. A restaurant owner took at least four people - reportedly, his employees — hostage in a restaurant in the Paris suburb of Issy-les-Moulineaux, BFMTV reported.
According to the report, a significant police force cordoned off the area. The BRI special operations police unit and rescue teams have arrived at the scene.

Only restaurant employees are currently present inside the restaurant; there were no visitors at the moment of the incident.
Paris hostage taker armed with knife
The man, who took hostages in the Paris suburb, is armed with a knife, BFMTV reported.
According to the updated information, the hostage take is not the owner of the restaurant, but his son.
There are currently four employees held hostage inside the restaurant.
The BRI special police unit arrived at the scene, located in the Issy-les-Moulineaux suburb. Negotiations with the perpetrator are underway; he claimed that he may commit suicide. He has no criminal record, the police say.
