Passenger car explodes in Sevastopol, kills serviceman
The governor urged residents and visitors of the region to remain cautious and report any suspicious individuals or objects
SEVASTOPOL, November 13. /TASS/. A car was destroyed in an explosion in Sevastopol, Crimea, killing a serviceman who was driving it, Mikhail Razvozhayev, the city’s governor, reported.
"Today at 09:53 [6:53 a.m. GMT], a fire was reported to emergency services via the hotline on Tarasa Shevchenko Street in Sevastopol. According to the caller, a car exploded and caught fire. The Russian Emergencies Ministry first responders arrived at the scene at 09:59 [6:59 a.m. GMT]. The rescuers promptly removed the driver from the car and handed him over to an ambulance. However, he did not survive. The victim was a serviceman," the official wrote on his Telegram channel.
He noted that he does not rule out sabotage, although investigative authorities will determine the exact cause of the explosion.
