MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. Ukraine’s involvement in numerous acts of terrorism carried out in Russia, including the attack on Crocus City Hall, is beyond doubt, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov said.
"It is already clear - and reports from the investigation [into the Crocus City Hall attack] have spoken about it - that there is a Ukrainian trail. Moreover, Ukraine’s involvement in other terrorist attacks carried out in Russia is beyond doubt," he pointed out at a meeting with foreign ambassadors dedicated to resolving the conflict in Ukraine.
"The Russian Foreign Ministry has recently sent an official demand to the Ukrainian authorities to take immediate steps to end all support for terrorist activities, extradite the perpetrators of attacks and compensate for damages," the Russian foreign minister added. "We demand that Kiev implement its obligations [under the relevant UN conventions]," he said.
Lavrov enumerated an entire series of attacks carried out by Ukraine. In particular, Russian journalist Darya Dugina was killed in a car blast outside Moscow on August 20, 2022. War correspondent Maxim Fomin, known by his pen name Vladlen Tatarsky, was killed in an explosion at a cafe in St. Petersburg on April 2, 2023; over 40 people suffered injuries in the blast. On May 6, 2023, writer and politician Zakhar Prilepin’s car was blown up in the Nizhny Novgorod Region; his bodyguard was killed and the writer sustained injuries. Investigators say that all of the aforementioned terrorist attacks were organized either by Ukrainian intelligence bodies or their agents.
On the evening of March 22, a terrorist attack targeted the Crocus City Hall music venue in Krasnogorsk, Moscow Region, just outside the Moscow city limits. According to the latest data, 144 people were killed and 551 were injured. Ten people have been arrested for their part in staging and carrying out the terrorist attack.
