Spring floods leave 400 homes across 34 Russian regions damaged — Emergencies Ministry

MOSCOW, April 4. /TASS/. Spring flooding has been recorded in 34 regions of Russia, with 384 residential houses flooded, the Russian Emergencies Ministry press service told TASS.
"As of today, the active phase of spring flooding is being observed in 34 regions of Russia; 384 residential houses are flooded and more than 5,000 household plots, 150 low-water bridges, and 102 sections of roadway have been affected," the Emergencies Ministry said.
The emergency management agency clarified that teams of rescuers are carrying out preventive measures around the clock and monitoring the flood situation, including with drones. Boat crossings and deliveries of food and other essential items are being organized.
The most difficult situation remains in the Altai Region, although the water is receding there. In the region, 816 household plots have been flooded, while 139 houses in 47 population centers and six road sections have been closed. Altogether, 35 people are staying at temporary accommodation centers.
In the Orenburg Region, 124 residential houses remain flooded, along with 1,214 household plots. Nine hundred eighty-two people have been evacuated, including 244 children. Ninety people are staying at temporary accommodation centers.
