KALININGRAD, March 19. /TASS/. Seven people were on board the fishing boat The Kapitan Lobanov that caught fire in the sea near Kaliningrad, the spokesman for the Kaliningrad Region’s government, Dmitry Lyskov, has told TASS. One died and three were taken to hospital. No one is missing.
"There were seven people on board the ship. One of them died and three are in hospitals. Three others have been released home," Lyskov said.
Earlier, Governor Anton Alikhanov made a decision to pay a lump sum of 1 million rubles to support the family of the man who died in the accident and 500 thousand rubles to each family of those injured.
Currently, the ship is being tugged to port.
The fishing boat The Kapitan Lobanov, according to open sources, belongs to the company LLC Marine firm Stalaktit. In June 2021, this vessel capsized and partially sank in the Kaliningrad shipping canal of the Kaliningrad Bay. No one was harmed then.
