HARARE, March 13. /TASS/. The Filipo tropical storm made a landfall in Mozambique. Winds of 90-120 km/h are accompanied by torrential rains, the Club of Mozambique website reports.
According to the National Meteorological Institute of Mozambique, the tropical cyclone that made a landfall near the city of Inhambane will travel southwest, towards the capital city of Maputu. The national authorities warn that the number of affected people may reach 525,000, because the tropical storm can also engulf provinces of Sofala, Gaza and Maputu.

The Eletricidade de Mocambique (EDM) power company says that over 100,000 people have already been left without power. The specialists have already commenced the repairs, but the bad weather complicates the operations.
