NIZHNY NOVGOROD, March 12. /TASS/. An energy facility in Russia’s Nizhny Novgorod Region came under attack by unmanned aerial vehicles, which caused an oil processing unit to catch fire, regional Governor Gleb Nikitin said.
"Unmanned aerial vehicles attacked the Kstovo industrial zone in the early hours of Tuesday, particularly targeting an energy facility. Emergency response teams are working at the scene to contain a fire at an oil processing unit. According to preliminary reports, there were casualties," he wrote on Telegram.
The Kstovo industrial zone is located on the right bank of the Volga River about 30 kilometers from the city of Nizhny Novgorod. The town of Kstovo has a population of some 60,000.
