TOKYO, January 6. /TASS/. A 5.2 magnitude earthquake was recorded off the coast of the Japanese island of Honshu, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) reported.
The epicenter was located 53 km north of the city of Takaoka, home to 170,000 people. The seismic origin was at a depth of 10 km.
There were no reports of a tsunami threat.
