NEW YORK, January 4. /TASS/. The shooter who went on a rampage at a school in the US state of Iowa is dead, NBC News reported citing local law enforcement officials.

According to them, the attacker, who could be one of the students, committed suicide, NBC News added.

ABC News reported earlier citing a local law enforcement official that one person was killed in the shooting spree. NBC News said that three more people were wounded.

Thursday was the first school day for about 1,700 students in 2024 after a winter break.
