MOSCOW, January 1. /TASS/. Units of the armed forces of Ukraine shelled the five-star Donbass Palace hotel in downtown Donetsk in the early hours of Monday, first responders told TASS.

"The Donbass Palace hotel was shelled by the armed forces of Ukraine," a spokesperson said.

Donbass Palace is a five-star hotel in the city center of Donetsk.

Earlier, first responders of the Donetsk People’s Republic said the region’s administrative center was shelled by Kiev troops on New Year’s Eve.
