BELGOROD, December 12. /TASS/. Russian air defense forces shot down an aerial target over the village of Bessonovka in the borderline Belgorod Region, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov reported on his Telegram channel.

"An aerial target was downed over the village of Bessonovka as our air defense forces were activated in the Belgorodsky district," he wrote, adding that emergency services had yet to clarify the consequences on the ground.

There was no damage or casualties, the governor said, citing preliminary data.
