Russian Emergencies Ministry medevac helicopter takes 2 Bryansk shooting victims to Moscow
The patients were supervised by medical workers during their flight
MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. A helicopter of the Russian Emergencies Ministry brought two teenage victims of Thursday’s school shooting in the western Russian city of Bryansk to Moscow for treatment, the Russian emergencies ministry told TASS early on Wednesday.
"The patients were supervised by medical workers during their flight," the ministry said.
The press service of the Russian Health Minsitry said the wounded coped with the journey quite well.
Three more patients remain in the region’s hospitals. Their wounds are said to be moderately severe.
On Thursday morning, an eighth-grader brought a weapon to her school in Bryansk and opened fire. As a result, five people were injured, one of whom has died. The shooter committed suicide, turning the gun on herself, police said.
A conflict between the shooter and her classmates is considered to be the most likely cause of the shooting, law enforcement agencies told TASS. A criminal investigation has been launched.
