The gun was legally stored at their home, the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs reported
MOSCOW, December 8. /TASS/. The pump-action shotgun, which was used by a teenage girl in the recent Bryansk school shooting, belongs to her father and was legally stored at their home, the Russian Interior Ministry said.
"According to the data at hand, the pump-action shotgun, which the minor used to fire shots, belonged to her father and was kept at home lawfully," the ministry’s office for the Bryansk Region said in a statement.
On December 7, an eighth-grader brought a firearm to her school in Bryansk and fired shots. She killed one person, wounded five others, then committed suicide. The girl was in conflict with some of her classmates, which is the most likely reason for the shooting, police said. A criminal investigation is underway.
