Presumably former member of Ukrainian parliament found dead near Moscow
The body was found in a local hotel
MOSCOW, December 6. /TASS/. Presumably the body of a former member of the Ukrainian parliament (Verkhovna Rada), Ilya Kiva, has been found in the Odintsovo district of the Moscow Region, emergency response services have told TASS.
"The body, presumably, of a former member of the Verkhovna Rada, Ilya Kiva, was found in the village of Suponevo, the Odintsovo district. A wound was spotted in the man’s head," the agency's source said.
The body was found in a local hotel. Police officers are conducting on-site investigation.
Ilya Kiva was stripped of his seat in the Verkhovna Rada in March. He supported Russia’s special military operation and criticized the leadership of Ukraine. In November, a court in Lvov sentenced him in absentia to 14 years in prison, finding him guilty on several counts, including treason.
